Perched high above the rolling hills and sparkling waters of East Tennessee, the Lake Haven – Overlook Cabin is a modern retreat designed for relaxation, connection, and breathtaking views. DKLEVY Architecture + Design crafted this custom residence to seamlessly blend rustic mountain charm with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

The cabin’s vertical form hugs the hillside, maximizing panoramic views of the surrounding forests and lakefront below. A bold combination of natural wood siding, dark standing seam metal roofing, and stone accents creates a striking exterior that is both timeless and modern. Expansive decks on every level invite outdoor living and provide private spaces to take in the sunrise, sunsets, and peaceful wooded landscape.

Inside, large windows flood the interiors with natural light, creating a warm and airy feel. Each floor was thoughtfully designed to balance communal gathering spaces with private retreats. Open living, dining, and kitchen areas flow seamlessly onto outdoor terraces, while intimate bedrooms and cozy nooks offer rest and privacy after long days of adventure.

The Lake Haven – Overlook Cabin captures the spirit of mountain living in a design that is elegant, efficient, and perfectly attuned to its setting.

Apparently we had reached a great height in the atmosphere, for the sky was a dead black, and the stars had ceased to twinkle. By the same illusion which lifts the horizon of the sea to the level of the spectator on a hillside.
