Willoughby Residence

Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, the Willoughby Residence is an interior renovation designed to transform the home’s private spaces into a more functional and restorative retreat. The project reorganizes the primary suite, relocates the bedroom, updates the owners’ individual closet spaces, and introduces a dedicated residential spa experience. The second-floor bedrooms and bathrooms are also refreshed with improved layouts and updated finishes.

The redesigned primary wing is organized around a new spa featuring a recessed soaking tub, tiled shower and seating areas, sauna, and integrated storage. Separate custom closets provide tailored organization for each owner, while a half bathroom, linen storage, beverage appliances, and built-in cabinetry support the suite’s daily use. Limewashed walls, heated tile, hardwood flooring, refined millwork, and updated fireplace finishes create a warm, cohesive atmosphere throughout the renovation.
