DKLEVY Architecture collaborated with Black Rifle Coffee Company to deliver a bold, efficient, and purpose-driven café experience in the bustling coastal hub of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Known for its veteran-owned roots and unapologetically American identity, the Black Rifle brand required a design that balanced a clean, modern retail strategy with rugged, patriotic expression.

The building’s exterior pairs dark corrugated metal and sleek brickwork with sharp industrial lines, punctuated by full-height glazing to create a transparent and welcoming street presence. Framed beneath a cantilevered roof and flying the American flag proudly out front, the architecture conveys strength and hospitality in equal measure.

Stepping inside, customers encounter a dynamic yet efficient space anchored by the bold BRCC emblem at the central service counter. Polished concrete floors, exposed steel trusses, and clean-lined wood details evoke a blend of tactical utility and upscale minimalism. The interior layout fosters intuitive circulation while providing distinct moments of brand immersion, including a wall-sized mural of the U.S. flag with the Pledge of Allegiance and custom shelving for merch and take-home brews.

The DKLEVY team aligned the brand’s unapologetic ethos with spatial clarity, bold materiality, and strong environmental rhythm. The result is a coffee shop that reflects the values of service, freedom, and hard work, creating not just a transaction space, but a destination for connection, conversation, and caffeine.
