A Greater Purpose to Design: It’s About People

From its inception, DKLEVY has kept the end goal in mind –  to serve aging adults through the work they produce in the U.S. and around the world. The boutique firm is a culture-first, mission-driven architectural firm, serving clients and partners, stepping into opportunities  to give back to the local community as well as vital missions abroad.

Ministry: It’s all about God’s Kingdom

Nicaragua

The DKLEVY team has partnered with Knoxville based Randy Sparks Ministries, based to design and execute the construction of the  Prayer Mountain structure located in Rivas, Nicaragua. A  two-story gathering place at the  highest point in the city it strategically overlooks the island formed by volcanic activity. Prayer Mountain is designed to meet the needs of the local community by providing teaching and event space with classrooms, meeting space, and a prayer house overlooking the city.

Not your local construction project! Lacking much of the machinery and equipment you’ll find on a job in the U.S., the team carries water from the valley up the mountain to mix concrete, and supplies are made by hand. The passion of the team is inspiring and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside them.

DKLEVY founder Daniel Levy visited Nicaragua for a site visit on the structure, and consistent with DKLEVY’s purpose, jumping in to serve where needed was natural.   Daniel greeted school children and participated in their English lessons.  The team gathered for street evangelism and other practical ways of serving the community. “In everything that we do, our ministry is all about God’s Kingdom.”

“As a company, we know there is a greater purpose to design. It’s about people, before projects. We are more focused on impacting lives.” Daniel Levy

Quarterbacking a team-first approach to each project, we know successful projects require marriage of each part of the development team. The DKLEVY team strives to positively impact each community we work with and live in to the glory of God, in an era when challenges must be met with faith and integrity as the guiding value.

Our team consists of innovative architects focused on creating exceptional experiences and bringing true value into the built environment. There is purpose behind each design. It is our mission to serve and we are honored to use our architectural talents to help meet the needs of others through a variety of give back projects.

Core Values: Serving Through Faith

Honduras

One of our core values is serving through our faith. This value led us to partner with Hands 4Life; a nonprofit whose primary focus is caring for the elderly in developing nations.

This project, located in Choloma, Honduras, consists of an assisted living home, a children’s home, a medical clinic, a short-term missionary dorm, a church, and a school. We are proud to assist in building the assisted living home and to be a part of helping the aging population worldwide.

We traveled to Choloma, Honduras to see how we can continue to partner with the team at Hands 4Life to improve the lives of local orphans and seniors. Eight Twenty 8 Design

Apparently we had reached a great height in the atmosphere, for the sky was a dead black, and the stars had ceased to twinkle. By the same illusion which lifts the horizon of the sea to the level of the spectator on a hillside.
